Mysterious Underwater Circles Found near Japan

You’ve probably heard a lot of stories about crop circles and aliens, but surprisingly a Japanese photographer Yoji Ookata has found something very similar 80 ft below the sea level. While diving off the coast of Japan, he discovered a mysterious ~6.5 ft wide circle precisely carved from sand. Yoji decided to come back with a TV crew to figure out this strange phenomenon.

The cameras revealed that the culprit was a few-inch long puff fish, creating the sand sculptures by swimming tirelessly and using its single fin. The team figured that this is how the female fish attract the male ones, and the center of the circle is where the pair lays the eggs. The riffles then serve as a protective buffer against ocean currents. In fact, the more riffles a fish makes, the more chances it has to find a pair.

World’s Largest Cylindrical Aquarium at Radisson Blu Hotel Berlin

The Radisson Blu Hotel In Berlin, Germany may look like just another luxury hotel, however once you enter it, you will be blown away by the enormous 82-feet high aquarium in the heart of the hotel’s lobby atrium.

The AquaDom is the world’s largest cylindrical aquarium with one million liters of saltwater, and it is a stunning habitat for many species of tropical fish. The AquaDom is maintained by the Sea Life Berlin, which is located right next to the hotel. Sea Life Berlin houses 30 freshwater and saltwater tanks, which are home to thousands of sea dwellers.[1]

Unfortunately, the guests can’t go for a dive in the Aquadom. However, you can take the two-story elevator ride through the middle of the AquaDom, during which you’ll learn about both the tropical fish inhabitants and the architecture of the AquaDom.
